Although it is not a food product, cork stoppers come into direct contact with food products. For this reason, traceability, analytical control and effective hygiene throughout the production process undoubtedly play an important and responsible role for the cork industry. At the same time, the implementation of a management system improves the efficiency of processes, making certified companies more organized, systematic and clean.
Globalization, technology and new consumer habits have led to the emergence of new dangers. Certification bodies study and closely monitor social, technological and environmental changes, in line with legislation, in order to determine an appropriate risk analysis for each business segment, defining specific control measures and providing consumers with products with a high standard of reliability.
Aware of our responsibility as players in the food chain, we want to ensure that our customers are supplied with products that are produced, processed, packaged, distributed and supplied safely, by complying with the requirements set out in the ISO 22000:2018 standard.
