QUALITY
Certifications
In order to guarantee the highest levels of quality and food safety, Timescork has a laboratory duly prepared to carry out tests and integrated control of its production. Our oenologist monitors the quality of our products throughout the production chain.
This department works closely with the certification bodies to ensure that all the standards in force are always complied with.
The quality of Timescork's cork stoppers is the result of the focus of our business strategy, centered on high standards of food safety and continuous improvement.
Raw materials
Cork is a natural 100% plant tissue extracted from the cork oak (Quercus Suber L.). Quality control begins in the forest with a visual analysis of the cork planks. The best quality planks are used to make cork stoppers and disks.
Cork Products and By-Products
Physical (dimensional and humidity) and chemical (sensory analysis and gas chromatography) analyses are carried out on all cork products and by-products throughout the production chain.
Cork stoppers
Before any shipment, batch quality control is carried out on all the products. At this stage, mechanical parameters such as extraction force are also analyzed.
