Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as a name, tax identification number, location data, an electronic identifier or other elements that make it possible to identify that natural person. The information collected when someone visits the TimesCork website is considered personal information and falls within the scope of the GDPR.
The user or subscriber, a natural person to whom the data relates and who has used TimesCork's services or products. The User will be the person who uses or exploits the TimesCork services and the Subscriber is the person who subscribes to TimesCork's forms of dissemination, namely newsletters and e-books.

Examples include your consent for TimesCork to analyze the use of services and consumption profile and make recommendations or send marketing messages (email marketing, SMS marketing, among others).

TimesCork processes and stores your personal data in accordance with the purposes for which it is processed.
There are cases in which the law requires data to be processed and kept for a minimum period of time, namely: for 10 years the data needed to inform the Tax Authority for accounting or tax purposes.
However, whenever there is no specific legal obligation, the data will only be processed for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and kept, and always in accordance with the law, the guidelines and decisions of the CNPD. TimesCork will therefore process and keep your personal data for as long as it maintains a contractual relationship with you.
TimesCork may keep other personal data for periods longer than the duration of the contractual relationship, either based on your consent, or to ensure rights or duties related to the contract, or because it has legitimate interests that justify it, but always for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the respective purposes and in accordance with the guidelines and decisions of the CNPD, namely contact for marketing and sales purposes.
We collect personal data with your consent when you purchase TimesCork products or services or when you download or use marketing and sales materials from our brand. Collection may be done orally, in writing or through the TimesCork website. But your personal information may also be collected from publicly accessible or other sources.
TimesCork's cookie policy is an additional way of collecting personal data with the aim of detecting and correcting problems on the website, offering strong and comfortable digital experiences and speeding up navigation on the channel's pages. Cookies are pieces of data, such as names and email addresses, saved by a website on the user's first visit. On subsequent visits, the website can already identify the visitor as not being new, for example.
TimesCork uses Google Analytics as its main system for tracking the consumer journey across all of the company's digital channels, such as the website, blog and social networks. Our purpose in using this tracking tool is to monitor traffic, identify trends and analyze behavior, always to check the performance of digital marketing campaigns and implement improvements to them.
TimesCork also uses ZOPIM -Zendesk Chat as an integrated chat platform on its website, which allows tracking of the consumer's path on the site and other data such as: Location, IP, Operating System, time of visit on the website and e-mail. Our purpose in using this tracking tool is to monitor the visitor's path, thus enabling better customer service and also to identify trends and analyze behaviors to apply in digital marketing campaigns.
TimesCork also uses Facebook Pixel, which allows the tracking of the origin of the visit, which allows us to identify and measure the results of digital marketing campaigns created from Facebook (Ads).
TimesCork uses E-Goi as its email marketing management system. The Portuguese company's mission is to create effective digital communication solutions in the following segments: email marketing, smart sms, autobots and marketing automation. E-Goi's datacenter is located in Portugal and has its own AS (where all the information about its clients, including TimesCork and its partners, is kept). Of particular note is the anonymity of the flow of information outside each client's database and the firewalls set up as semi-independent fortifications.

TimesCork may profile customers based, for example, on their preferences, personal interests, service use, location, among other indicators, namely in order to provide services, increase the quality and experience of products and services, tailor marketing communications, etc. However, this processing must be based on the consent of the data subject.
Where the processing of personal data, including profiling, is exclusively automated (without human intervention) and is likely to have legal effects on you or significantly affect you, you have the right not to be subject to any decision based on such automated processing, subject to the exceptions provided for by law and shall have the right to have TimesCork take appropriate measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, including the right to have human intervention in TimesCork's decision-making, the right to express your point of view or contest the decision taken on the basis of automated processing of personal data.

TimesCork has implemented appropriate, necessary and sufficient logical, physical, organizational and security measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, access or any other form of processing.
We have implemented it:
- Logical security requirements and measures, such as the use of firewalls and intrusion detection systems in its systems, the use of backups, the existence of a strict policy on access to systems and information and the recording of actions taken by TimesCork employees on the personal data of customers or users (logging);
- SSL / HTTPS protocol: As soon as the user accesses a website with the HTTPS protocol, all communications between the user and the website are encrypted. The HTTPS protocol is used to protect transactions and the transmission of confidential data, as is the case with e-Commerce and e-Banking systems;
- Scrutiny, auditing and control mechanisms to ensure compliance with security and privacy policies;
- An information and training program for TimesCork employees and partners;
TimesCork undertakes to communicate the occurrence of the problem to the entity that regulates the GDPR (the National Data Protection Commission in Portugal) within 72 hours of the verification of the security problem as well as all the holders/clients concerned.
The cache of a web browser or search engine is the instrument through which the browser saves data, namely images and HTML code, needed to load and display a website. TimesCork's intention in using this device is to help bandwidth and provide a better browsing experience.
